Pherecydes of Syros and the Fountain of Time



Considering that the antiquity the invention of this world has ever been regarded as the function of a god. Two distinct generation's descriptions diversified the religions: in a few it is thought that an eternal God created man in an eternal world, in the others it's sure that an eternal god put beyond the cosmos has generated ex nihil first world and eventually man.

The idea of cave/withdrawal is quite vital in Pherecydes, in order to be inside the name of the primary function, but it's going to be the topic of another post on the greek scholar. "Chronos creates out of his seed flame, water and air". So Chronos/Time is your component before fire, water and air. Earth isn't cited here. We have elsewhere noticed within this website the four components are, approximately, states of thing. So Time/God Chronos is your component before firing. Components do move in accordance with their density: atmosphere is denser that flame, and water warmer than air and so forth until ground which includes all ( because in Alchemy the previous element does comprise all). Consequently, once we say an element generates another, we imply it is found in its own offspring. The notion of Time being the first, and concealed, of components is a peculiar way to say Time is our Mom Nature, not in the sense that we reside together with its flowing, but at the sense that we're born out of it.
