New England Folk Festival draws people from around region


Though the festival may not have been kept outside in the cold, moist weather, the warmth of the ambiance interior appeared to permeate every area of the construction, although it was out of the gymnasium, where square dancing classes were held, or at the cafeteria with all the art series. Everywhere one can appear, amid the kaleidoscope of vibrant clothes and more than 1 pair of bare toes, musicians performed together in energetic harmony and longtime friends thankfully greeted one another while producing new acquaintances. Here and there, little parties of existence, love and songs occurred.



"I hope to see people I have not seen."


Lots of people in attendance had pushed up of two hours to execute an hour without pay.


"At this festival, no matter who you've, you're here and play your collection at no cost just like everyone else," Weeks said. "We're about the specific same level.


1 particular facet of NEFFA that Friedman appreciated was that the dancing, if it was a tango, intermediate swing along with a British country everyday.


"You could dance all day at the event you wished to," Friedman said.


Additionally took a moment to unwind and consume.


Rooney maintained he adored "what" roughly NEFFA.


"The individuals are excellent; they're nurturing, and there isn't any decision ," Rooney said.

The couple, who have been married inside a decade, both had their own favorite facets of this festival, such as the dancing for Rooney in addition to the audio paths for Cannon.


"it's a very accepting community, because all sorts of folks seem," Cannon explained. "And that doesn't automatically occur in our culture."
